He what???

We were giving Kaleb a bath tonight, and Tim was watching him play while I got his jammies ready. I had just opened his drawer when I heard, "he pooped in the tub." I didn't believe it, but sure enough there they were. So Mommie got to fish it out. Kaleb likes to lay on his belly so I guess the warm water relaxed him and you know the rest. The crazy thing is this is like the 5th time he has pooped today. I guess raisins will do that to ya.
We are close to having everything done with the homestudy and we are working on stuff for our agency. I am feeling overwhelmed, but hope to have it all done by the end of August. The yardsale is Sat. so we have a ton of stuff and I need to price it. I am amazed at how quickly the day goes by and I get nothing done. My goal for the yardsale is $1,000. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will end up with more. There is one big payment with the adoption and it is $13,000, but the rest is not bad at all. In the end all this craziness will be worth it!!!

Almost 2

My baby boy is almost 2, and I can't believe it. Time has flown by way too fast. We are planning a fiesta for his birthday which should be fun.
In other news, we had our homestudy last night so things are moving quite quickly. The biggest thing left to do is to complete our profile. The is what the birth parents look at the choose us. It is crazy to think that by the end of this year we could have a new baby. Who knows what the Lord has in store for us!!! I guess that only time will tell.
The second picture was our referral picture, and the next one was sent to us 2 months before we got Kaleb home. It is amazing how much he has grown.

Confused

I want this to be on the side of the blog. Can anyone tell me how to get it there? I feel very computer illiterate.

Adoption Progress

The application is in the mail and on its way to Texas. We are sooo excited!!! Next week we need to work on our profile and dear birth parent letter. Adoption is like a job, because there is so much to do. It is definitely a crazy roller coaster and the end will be filled with tears of joy. I am full of anticipation and excitement with what the coming months will bring. Abi or Zach, we are awaiting your arrival.

Here are the pix since blogger wouldn't let me do it with the post

The aquarium, painting pottery, and Thursday Night Live

We had a great day at the Newport Aquarium on Wednesday. Kaleb loved it. They won't let you take strollers but for free they have these carriers that allow you to carry the child on your back. Kaleb thought that it was great. I fed the larakeets and petted a shark. Amazingly the shark doesn't feel slimy, but very rough and hard. We ended the day with some shopping (Pottery Barn Kids had some great deals) and the Cheesecake Factory. It was a great day!!

Today we went and painted pottery. Well Kaleb did his hand print and I did the rest, but it was fun. Sorry no pix of that. We went downtown to Thursday Night Live where they have vendors and music. The weather was great and they had kettle corn. Kaleb got a balloon airplane but shortly after it was busted. We had a great time and now Kaleb is sound asleep. I dread Tim going back to work Monday because all the fun will end.

Tomorrow is the big day as our application will go out. I need to call and get our birth certificates and all that jazz. And so the paper trail begins.

After Kaleb's nap we went to a friend's house and swam. After dinner Kaleb had even more fun. Their neighbor's son has a hummer and took Kaleb for a few drives around the cul de sac. The look on his face was priceless. We all had a great day!!!

More fun in the sun

Kaleb discovered planes while in FL so he was always pointing to them. He had to have this aligator from Fudpuckers. He named it Ali Gator. Tim let Kaleb go this time on the slide and he loved it. It took alot for Daddy to let him go!!

Kaleb loved the beach. We put spf 50 on him and look at how dark he is. He is so cute!!!

Vacation Fun in Destin

I am not really sure what I am doing, but hopefully this will work. We had an awesome time in Destin, FL. Kaleb loved it which was a big change from last year. I didn't want to leave the beach, but unfortunately we had to come back to reality sometime. Our latest adventure is preparing to start a domestic adoption. After tons of research I think that we have finally found the agency. Now we need to think about fundraising!!! We had lots of help with Kaleb's adoption, so I am not worried about this one either. This is what the Lord has planned for us and we are giving it all to Him!!! It has taken me forever to get this blog started so I hope that it will be an enjoyable place. Thanks for checking it out and we look forward to this next journey in our lives!!
